Earn Cash and Prizes. Seriously!

As I'm sure you all know, I *love* taking surveys and earning rewards. It's not really a great way to make a living, but it is a great way to supplement and earn some fun things in your spare time. I earn gift cards to treat my family to a nice dinner out every now and then, or I'm able to select prizes or gift cards I can use towards making the holidays special. It really helps at Christmas! I even earn checks that I can put into savings as well.

This just came in the mail for me yesterday!  $100 from Global Test Market, just for taking surveys.

This check is going towards a fun new swingset for our girls!  They're going to be so excited when it finally arrives.

I don't always earn cash, sometimes it's prizes or gift cards, but every little bit helps!
I get asked all the time what survey companies I use, so here are a few that I work with, and have had good experiences with:

Global Test Market - If you'd like a referral, just leave me your email address and I'll send you one! :)

I also recommend YouData, where you get paid to view ads. They PayPal you payment every week!

If you like to try products and tell the world about them, check out BzzAgent for some Word of Mouth Marketing fun!  :)

MyPoints.com is also a great resource for gift cards.  They said out emails and if you click the links (to visit the advertiser) you earn 5 points.  More points are awarded for purchases, but purchases are NOT necessary.  You can also answer polls and complete surveys for points...and what I like about the surveys that MyPoints sends out, is that if you don't qualify, you often still get 10 points just for trying.  I recently cashed out for $60 in Walmart gift cards.

And don't forget about Swagbucks! Not only can you earn points for searching with them, but also for watching videos and completing surveys as well.  They have a "daily goal" and if you meet it, you get bonus swagbucks, and they add up fast.  If I make sure to make that goal daily (or even just most days), I can earn $50+ a month.  I choose Amazon gift cards, but they offer PayPal, and many other store gift cards as well.  They're one of my favorites, I recommend them highly.

Are there any that you have had good results with? I'd love to hear about them!

Magic Jellybeans!

My oldest daughter is 6 years old.  Last year she kept telling me that magic was not real.  That made me sad.  So I decided we had to do something to get her "magic" back!  She is very in to reason and logic, which is great, but we could all use a little magic!

I had seen the idea to plant jellybeans outside and grow magic lollipops.  But my dog runs around like caaaaaaraaaaazzzzzayyyy outside, and I just knew she'd gallop around the yard and decide the lollipops were now her toys since they were sticking out of *her* back yard.

So we had to modify this and do it indoors.  Besides, it was cold outside anyway.

So, after we dyed our Easter eggs last year, I pulled out some pots and some potting soil and let the girls fill their pots.  With soil.  Right.  :o)

Then, I gave them each six jellybeans.  I had already purchased the lollipops, so one jellybean to match each color lollipop.

The girls both had a blast planting their magic jellybeans!

After they went to bed, I transformed into Mrs. Easter Bunny.  Mr. Easter Bunny was SLEEPING already.  Ahem.

I knew that my scientifically minded then-five-year-old would actually dig through the pots to find the jellybeans and see if they were really magic, if I didn't attach the sticks to them like they grew out of them.  So I just gently pushed each lollipop stick into the corresponding jellybean color.

I didn't dig through the pots myself to find the already planted jellybeans though, I just used new ones.  Since they were attached to the lollipops the girls never thought to dig through the dirt looking for them.

Super cute, right?  The girls loved it, and it made an adorable centerpiece for the table too!

Crazy Hair Day Ideas

So, I mentioned yesterday that in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, our school has a theme week.  This week includes many fun activites, one of which is Crazy Who-Ville Hair Day.

We ran with the Dr. Seuss theme for my oldest, and adorable little cupcakes for my youngest who isn't in school yet.

Just for fun, I thought I'd create a "Crazy Hair Day" link-up!
